County Voice texts
Last updated September 26, 2026
The program
County Voice texts are messages from County Voice, a community website run by neighbors in Northumberland County, Virginia. We text only people who enter their mobile number on countyvoice.org and ask to hear from us, about what they signed up for:
- the neighborhood propane buying group: the group price once dealers respond, and delivery details;
- county decisions you choose to follow: when a public hearing is set, and when the decision is posted.
How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies, usually a few messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. County Voice doesn’t charge for texts.

Using this site
What we show about county government comes from the county’s own public records, and we link to them. The records are the authority; we’re not the government, and nothing here is legal advice. A group propane price is an offer from a dealer, not from us, and joining the group isn’t a contract. The group price includes a fixed amount a gallon for County Voice, for running the drive; the offer shows it, and it’s the same with every dealer.
