Meetings

Waiting for minutes

After a meeting, the next step is its minutes: the official record of what was decided. The clerk writes them, the board votes to approve them at a later meeting, and the county posts them after that.

So a board that meets once a month can’t have its minutes up sooner than about a month, and the minutes of several meetings are often approved and posted together. This page shows how long the step usually takes.

Board of Supervisors

Usually about 44 days from the meeting to its minutes.

Half were posted sooner than that, half later: from 11 days to 63 days, across 11 meetings since June 4.

Where this page comes from

The meeting dates and the days minutes were posted are from the county’s agenda site, read by County Voice each night. Days are calendar days, counted from the meeting to the day its minutes were posted.

A board’s usual wait is given once the records have the posting day of 3 or more of its minutes. Other boards’ minutes are listed as they’re posted, without a usual wait. Minutes posted before County Voice began noting the day aren’t counted.
